How the system works

From a sensor on a pipe to an action on a screen

Four layers, each doing one job. The building stays in service throughout — devices go in around the tenants, on wireless hardware that lasts years on a battery.

Four-layer WSmart stack: sensors, edge gateway, cloud platform, dashboards

Layer 01

Sensors

Wireless devices measure temperature, vibration, energy, air quality and more — installed without shutting the building down.

Layer 02

Edge gateway

Readings travel over LoRaWAN, NB-IoT or BLE to an edge gateway that speaks Modbus, BACnet and MQTT.

Layer 03

Cloud platform

Data arrives on one platform — wired and wireless, legacy and current — without replacing your existing systems.

Layer 04

Dashboards & alerts

Live status, compliance reports and clear next-step alerts on desktop, tablet and mobile.

PLATFORM IN ACTION / UI

From live signals to a clear next step.

One view for dashboards, device health, energy trends and alerts — plus a mobile app that stays with the team on site.

Three-step delivery: site walkthrough, integrate BACnet/Modbus and LoRaWAN wireless, operate with dashboards and alerts

Our approach

Start with the building. Build from what is already there.

The best retrofit is not the one with the most devices. It fits the site, keeps what you already paid for, and gives the right person a clear next step.

That is why WSmart works as an integration partner, not just a hardware supplier. We stay with the project from the first site walk-through to everyday operations.

FAQ

Common questions

Can we add wireless sensors to our existing BACnet BMS without replacing it?

Yes. Keep your existing BMS and control logic. Add battery LoRaWAN (or similar) sensors where rewiring would disrupt the building. An edge gateway maps readings to BACnet, Modbus, and MQTT dashboards. The building stays in service; pilot one area before you scale.

On-premises vs cloud BMS monitoring — which is right for utilities or security-sensitive sites?

Cloud suits multi-site FM and fast mobile response. On-premises suits sites that must keep monitoring local and controlled. Same integration idea: connect existing controllers with wireless environmental and leak sensors. Choose from security, residency, and who must sign off — not from sensors alone.
